PostSubject: Fat Tax   Thu Jul 12, 2007 2:03 am

I was a bit peed off this morning when I heard that we might be getting taxed on fatty foods like cakes, sweets, cheese and butter etc.
Its all to prevent 3000 deaths from heart attacks and stroke per year. But the way I look at it is, if people want to eat that way, they will any way, regardless of the price and everyone else gets penilised.
What i'd prefer to see is healthy foods subsidised instead. They can be pricey, and then we can all benefit. I just think its a sneaky way to get more cash out of us, dont we pay enough as it really is! They tax us for everything else, what next!!

lol you know that the schools have been giving children free fruit and veg? Well that cost us 42 million to roll out across England in 2004 and cost us another 77 million over the following two years to keep it going! They are now questioning whether it will give any long term health benefits at all! Waste of money, could have gone into the NHS where it would have been put to good use. LOL and talking of NHS, you can now log on to the A&E website, find your local hospital and check the CCTV footage of how busy it is.....I mean if I had just chopped the top if my Finger off, would I really be bothered to check out how busy A&E was?? erm NO, i would just go lol. I wonder how much that cost us, another waste of cash.

With all these extra costs we are supposed to be paying maybe they should up our wages!

lol, they'll probably up the wages about 2 pence or something rubbish like that and then tax us on something else and end up taking it away again!!

Anyway, I'm annoyed that we didnt get to vote on a New PM when Blair stepped down, I didnt want Gordon Brown, the guys a joke!
