Hey don't beat yourself up loudun.. you did your best and at least you tried breastfeeding. You did brilliantly expressing for all those weeks.. I did it for 6 weeks when my baby was in special care and it was hard blimming work I'm telling you. It turns out he was intolerant to my milk and all formula milk too!

Sammy, I wasn't as bad with my 2nd and 3rd baby..

I regularly used to choke my eldest when I unlatched her hahahaha

She took to the breast and then started having some problems she fed all the way up till after my milk came in and then she acted like she wasnt getting enough and soon she became un interested in breastfeeding I soon quit. Now I feel like I have lost a great bond that I could have had and I dont know what to do.... help?

There will always be a bond whether you breast feed or not, dont worry about that. There are more woman then you think that dont breast feed for many reasons.

You are simply feeling that you have let yourself down more then anything, but dont. You have given it a go,thats the main thing.Your baby was the one who gave up on it,not you....she obviously prefers another way of feeding, just do whats best for your baby and what your baby prefers.some babies latch on fine, others dont. Wink

Awww Debbie, dont worry. Like Skorpy said, you gave it your best shot and Baby just wasnt interested. You did fine I'm sure. As long as your baby is feeding one way of the other I wouldnt worry. Plus you will always have that special bond. Hug

Well done for doing it as long as you could. It is difficult and if the baby isn't interested / needs more, or you dry up then there isn't much you can do. Keep your chin up and dont feel like you have let anyone down x
