February 15, 2007 : Miracles in the Womb

Documentary using revolutionary ultrasound footage and state-of-the-art graphics to explore multiple foetal developments from conception to birth. The film examines real-life rare pregancies, from a case of identical quadruplets to the strange phenomenon of vanishing twin syndrome, in which a foetus is absorbed into the womb.

I love these programmes.

Did anyone watch that one a while ago that was live from the Maternity hospital?

Wasn't there quadruplets on that one too?

Sounds interesting. I watch a program on discovery a few weeks back about how Elephants and Dolphins delvelop in the womb. So mush like humans but a little more advanced.

Some parts of it freaked me out a bit I have to say. The part where they explained that all babys have a twin to begin with, but usually one is absorbed back into the uterus. They also said that a person that is left handed is probably the surviving twin. I'm left handed and I have to say it was a very... how can I say... upsetting but not if you know what I mean.
A very fascinating programme I have to say xx
