PostSubject: Size Zero   Wed Mar 28, 2007 1:23 pm

Well this topic seems to be around alot lately. But what do you think?
Size zero can seriously damage a person's health. Anorexia and Bulimia are connected with Size Zero, as many women have to lose a high amount of weight to become so slim. The deaths of models Luisel Ramos and Ana Carolina Reston have been attributed to the Size Zero trend. Luisel Ramos, aged 22, died of a heart attack last August after trying to live on just Diet Coke and lettuce leaves. Since then Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston also died because of the pressures of becoming slimmer; she lived on just apples and tomatoes, and because of this developed kidney failure and died.
Is size zero too thin? Is the fashion industry setting a bad example to young people? What are you views?

Definatley Bad.
I mean children as young as 15 wants to be ultra thin like the models because they think its the trend,In my opinion a trend that is not only silly, but unhealthy, dangerous and looks terrible.

Its fine to be thin, but thin too the extent that ribs can be seen through the skin.I think its a very bad example too any human being. To be this thin has proved it is a death trap and why its still continueing beats me.

Its sad to see young girls look up to skinny famous people and think its normal...it takes their childhood away too early. I worry about my fiance's little sister as she never eats...she has just started secondary school and thats when the pressure starts.

Size zero should be put across to youngsters that its unhealthy and its not beauty!

lmao!

Yes I think that Size Zero should be banned from catwalks and magazines! They are promoting something so dangerous (not to mention ugly) to young girls/boys.
Take for instance Posh Spice who herself has the body of a 12 yearold with a boob job! She is showing zero tolerance for ultrathin models and has banned them from promoting her fashion label. Yes, that's right!! Size zero Posh, who can make skinny jeans look baggy...lol. She said some crap about wanting to give out a positive image that you dont have to be ultra skinny to look good. Hmm hold on a sec. Pot? Kettle? Why is she herself a size zero then?

Bann it I say!!!
