PostSubject: Swollen Foot   Tue Sep 05, 2006 1:12 pm

What do you guys think.

I cant wait untill this baby is out.Infact Im asking on Thursday if there is a chance to be induced because of my swollen foot, ankle and leg.I have NO shoes that fit and I dont know how I am going to get to my clinic bare foot lol.I can hardly walk and it is uncomfortable and my leg feels like its stretching when I walk and burning sensation in the top of my foot and leg. By evening ,it feels like I am walking on pads.

Apparently after my visit to maternity yesterday, they pressed into my leg and left dents in it,and they call it playdoh legs.Wonder if they will Induce me at 39 weeks.I would have waited no problem till I went into Labour Naturally, but this swollen problem is getting me down. :bawl:

Inducing doesnt sound like it would be a problem since you are already considered full term. I have had problems with swelling and my doctor has talked to me about induceing but my swelling is no where near as bad as yours sounds. just a little around the ankles... it is enough to leave little indentions but yours sounds almost painful.

I didn't suffer with swollen feet during the pregnancy of my son, but it happened afterwards instead!!
Whilst I was in hospital for the 2 months he was in special care, my ankles swelled like two balloons!! It was horrible, I felt like I had tree trunks for legs.
They just advised me to keep off my feet for a few days and the odema did eventually subside.

I have started to wonder where else I might get adema and my doctor said that most of the time you only get it in your legs and ankles but it can be likely in most other places too just rarely ever seen.??? did anyone else expeirence any other swelling besides their feet? well other than our bellys of course-lol-
