And I can come in on a night out without gasing my hubby out and not having too wash my hair.

I can see both sides...must be hard on those who do smoke having too go on night out and cant smoke while drinking etc,But for those of us who dont, was not fair having too stand in pool of smoke and breathing in second hand ciggys

Well i have to say being scottish and all it is about Bloody time england quit....but then again they did have to wait and see if it worked first i suppose.......(sorry for the rant, it just gets on my nerves)

In Scotland it has worked and people go outside to smoke but right at the door so you still have to walk through the smoke and people to get inside but other than that it's worked really well....

Here in Switzerland they have started bannding smoke by county...so 3 countys have gone non-smoking and the rest are still smoking but they will all follow suit maybe.....In Switzerland i have to say it's not working as well as in scotland there have been a lot of places where people have continued to smoke inside.....
Time will tell...xxxx

I cant wait for July. I used to be a smoker but gave up when i found out that i was pregnant last year, i did find it quite easy throughout my pregnancy as i was so ill i couldnt smoke but it is only recently i have started to crave for one when i am out and around other smokers!

I hope it will get people to quit...It can't be easy but think of what it does to your health...some people are just stubburn though, like some of the men in my family...even after having serious health problems they still carry on!

That was the worst part about going out...ending up stinking of fags, all in ur hair...its plain nasty!!

Here in NY we went smoke free a few years ago. back then I was still a "part time" smoker as I called it. I would only smoke when I was drinking. So if I went to a bar I wanted to smoke. I did love the idea of food places being smoke free though. Now I like bars smoke free also since I have since quit all the way. Of course now you have a line of smokers to get through to get in....
You will all love it though. I am for smokers rights, just as I am for non-smokers. I do think bars and such should have a smoking room...Then you can choose whether or not to go in. the casinos around here are all run by the Indian Reservations though, they are exempt from the laws and they are all filled with smoke. I went to one for my bday with my parents and there was 1 tiny non-smoking room, with no doors. It was just like being in the smoking section.

LOL, I am sorry I have to laugh. You see here in the US a "fag" is a derogatory term for a gay man. I know it means cigarette elsewhere but I have to laugh sometimes. I used to work with this guy who we all thought was gay but didn't come out until years later. Anyway he went to Turkey with another friend we worked with. While there they were on the beach and a friend of hers said to him " Hey ----, do you fancy a fag?" Well he had no idea that he meant a smoke, he though he was being set up with a man! :lol!:So you can imagine what " ending up stinking of fags, all in ur hair...its plain nasty" sounds like to an american. lol
