PostSubject: Question   Sat Jun 02, 2007 6:02 am

Hey Ladies.

I'm getting married this month on the 23rd. I'm trying to concieve my 2nd Baby as alot of you know but the thing is, i'm due my period on the day I go away for my honeymoon!! Right, it wouldnt bother me as much, but I have a whole day of travelling and will not feel comfy being 'on' whilst travelling over to the US. We have to transfer to 3 different flights so its going to be a looong day. I was just wondering whether there was anything I could take to delay my period a little? I know I could take the Pill again but I really dont want to do that. Is there anything natural?

Cheers xxx

I dont think there is anything too delay a period.

I was due mine on my wedding day lol.. Ivory dress = Period not good.

So I opted too have the contraceptive injection...works straight away,no periods. But problem is,your trying for a baby,Unless you leave it for a couple months after your wedding which mean you can ask your Doc for the injection and then come off it when you come back from honeymoon.

The only downfall is using injection takes a little while too come out of the system before you are able too concieve, but If your only having 1 injection it may not hurt. Its probably only people taht have them for months and years it takes longer too come out of your system.

PostSubject: Re: Question   Sat Jun 16, 2007 6:32 pm

I hope you dont mind but i was chatting to my mum about this and she suggested that there are some tablets that you can take to either bring your period forward or delay it, i told her your situation and she checked the leaflet etc and it will not harm you trying for a baby. I will get the leaflet and name of the tablet from her tomorrow and let you know the info. She said that you will need to take the tablets about 3 days before you are due on and this will delay your period for about 10 days! Hopefully this will help, i will post with the info tomorrow xxx

PostSubject: Re: Question   Sun Jun 17, 2007 4:17 pm

Right then the name of the tablets are Utovlan. The leaflet says " Taking Ulovlan to delay your period" You will take 1 tablet 3 times a day, You need to start taking the tablet 3 days before your period is due to start. Your period will usually start within 3 days of finishing taking the tablets.

Further down on the leaflet is mentions pregnancy etc, basically this could cause you to fall pregnant as it is not completly cancelling that period it is just delaying it. It does also say that if you are pregnant or think you are then you should not take them?! The best thing to do would be to see your doctor and see what they say but i think it should be ok. My mum takes these when she is due on when she is on holiday, she has never had any problems with them but then again we are all different. Hope this has helped, never know it might work?! x
